Dr. Aditya Aggarwal is a highly accomplished plastic surgeon specializing in Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Aggarwal's expertise and dedication have earned him numerous awards and recognition throughout his career. Dr. Aggarwal completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the prestigious Institute of Medical Sciences at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in 1992. He further pursued his postgraduate studies and obtained a Master of Surgery (MS) in General Surgery from the same institute in 1995. Driven by his passion for plastic surgery, he pursued advanced training and completed his MCh in Plastic Surgery from King George's Medical College in 1998. In 2002, Dr. Aggarwal attended a hands-on microsurgery course at the Ganga Microsurgical Training Institute and worked as a visiting scholar at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital's Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Chang Gung University in Taipei, Taiwan. He enrolled in a number of specialised training programmes to further his knowledge and abilities. In 2003, Dr. Aggarwal continued his pursuit of excellence in hand surgery, microsurgery, and brachial plexus surgery through an Advanced Clinical Training program at Ogori Daichi General Hospital in Yamaguchi, Japan. He also spent time as a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine and Dentistry in Okayama, Japan. Dr. Aggarwal's passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge led him to become a tutor at the Basic Course on Microsurgical Techniques organized by the Indian Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery (ISRM) in Delhi, India. Since 2003, he has been actively involved in educating aspiring plastic surgeons and promoting the field of reconstructive microsurgery. Throughout his career, Dr. Aggarwal has been recognized for his exceptional contributions and research. He was awarded the BR Aggarwal Gold Medal for his outstanding performance during his MCh in Plastic Surgery. In 1999, he was inducted as a member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (MNAMS) in India. Additionally, he received the prestigious "Johnson & Johnson and Ganga Hospital Fellowship" in Plastic, Hand, and Reconstructive Microsurgery in 2002. Dr. Aggarwal's research and scientific papers have garnered attention and accolades. His paper on the "Role of Microvascular free tissue transfer in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery" won the Best Paper Award at the 5th International Conference of Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre (RGCON) in New Delhi, India, in 2006. He also received the Best Paper Award for his paper on "Trauma salvage of critically injured limb: the role of Microsurgery" at the Delhi chapter of the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) in 2005.
