Dr. (Brig) H.S. Bhatoe is an accomplished neurosurgeon with a distinguished career spanning over 31 years. He holds an MCh in Neurosurgery from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh, which he obtained in 1991. Prior to that, he completed his MS in General Surgery from Army Hospital, Delhi Cantt, University of Delhi in 1986, and his MBBS from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, University of Poona in 1978. Throughout his career, Dr. Bhatoe has held a number of honourable positions. From 2016 to 2018, he was the director of neurosurgery at Fortis Hospital in Noida, and from 2013 to 2016, he was the director and head of Neuroscience at Max Super Speciality Hospital in Patparganj. He also had a commendable career in the military from 1978 to 2013 as a Deputy Commandant and Consultant. His expertise and contributions have earned him numerous accolades. Dr. Bhatoe received the GOC-in-C (Western Command) Commendation in May 2012 and was honored with the Ambroise Pare Award by the International Council for Military Medicine. In January 2009, he was awarded the Vishisht Seva Medal for his exceptional service. He has been recognized in Marquis Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and has published a book titled "Missile Injuries of Brain, Spine and Peripheral Nerves" under Thieme Publishers in October 2018. Dr. Bhatoe's areas of interest lie in microneurosurgery, keyhole brain surgery, vascular and skull base neurosurgery, surgery of the craniovertebral junction, pediatric neurosurgery, and a complete range of spine surgery. He is an esteemed member of various professional societies, including the Neurological Society of India, Neurological Surgeons' Society of India, Neurotrauma Society of India, Congress of Neurological Surgeons (USA), European Association of Neurosurgical Societies, Neurospinal Surgeons Society of India, and the Cerebrovascular Society of India. His expertise and contributions continue to make a significant impact in the field of neurosurgery.
