The Max Saket Complex's nephrology and renal transplant medicine chairman is Dr. Dinesh Khullar. He earned his MBBS from DMC & Hospital, Ludhiana, part of Punjab University 1987, giving him a solid educational foundation. He earned his MD in medicine from Panjab University in 1991 and his DM Nephrology specialty from P.G.I.M.E.R., Chandigarh, in 1993. Dr. Khullar has 35+ years of experience in the field and is currently the Max Super Speciality Hospital - Saket's Head of Nephrology & Kidney Transplant Medicine. From January 1997 to August 2013, he served as a Professor of Nephrology at the Ganga Ram Institute of Post-Medical Education and Research. From January 1994 to December 1996, he also served as a Lecturer in Nephrology at the Dayanand Medical College & Hospital in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. Dr. Khullar has received a lot of honors and awards for his contributions to the industry. He delivered the Dr. Sushil Malik Memorial Award oration at the SDB IMA annual convention on "Pertinent Use of Drugs in Chronic Kidney Disease." He received the Human Care Charitable Trust Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011. He has also spoken at conferences, including the D.K. Pal Chaudhary Memorial Oration at the Indian Medical Association (SDB) Annual Meeting in 2005 and the J.M. Patel Oration at the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation's Annual Conference in 2015. Dr. Khullar has a wide range of nephrology interests, including diabetic nephropathy, high-risk kidney transplant recipients, more advanced dialysis methods, induction therapy for kidney transplant recipients, infections related to kidney diseases, the role of the kidneys in systemic diseases, and the effects of hypertension on the kidneys. His expertise is attested to by a number of publications and paper presentations at national and international conferences.
