Dr. Pradeep Jain

Dr. Pradeep Jain possesses extensive experience in Gastrointestinal Oncological Surgery. He holds M.S. (Surgery) and M.Ch. degrees in Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Surgery. Currently, he serves as the Director of the Department of Laparoscopic GI, GI Onco, HPB (Hepatopancreatobiliary), and Minimal Access Surgery at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh. He has recently been honored with the Indian Healthcare Excellence Awards in 2019. With 35 Years of experience, Dr. Jain's educational journey began at Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi, where he earned his undergraduate degree. He completed his MS in General Surgery at Maulana Azad Medical College and LNJP Hospital. He further pursued advanced training in M.Ch (Gastroenterology & Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Surgery) at G.B. Pant Hospital. His expertise spans various areas, with a particular focus on Advanced Laparoscopic GI and GI Oncological Surgery, as well as liver and pancreas surgery. In his role as Director of Laparoscopic GI and GI Oncosurgery within the Department of Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Pancreatic OncoSurgery, Dr. Jain has accumulated over 30 years of surgical experience. His previous positions include serving as the Chief of Laparoscopic GI & GI Oncological Surgery at Action Cancer Hospital & Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute and heading the GI and Hepatobiliary Pancreatic Department at Rajeev Gandhi Cancer Institute. Prior to that, he led the Department of GI Surgery at various hospitals, including Primus, Maharaja Agrasen, Max, Jaipur Golden, and Sunder Lal Jain Hospitals. Dr. Pradeep Jain is recognized as a pioneer in performing Thoracoscopic and Laparoscopic Esophagectomy and Laparoscopic Whipples procedures in North India. He boasts a wide spectrum of expertise in advanced Laparoscopic Surgery in the field of GI Surgery, encompassing Complex Liver, Biliary, and Pancreatic surgeries, Laparoscopic Cancer surgeries throughout the gastrointestinal tract, Laparoscopic Bariatric (weight loss) surgeries, and other advanced laparoscopic procedures. He has a special interest in Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal cancer surgery and Bariatric surgery (Weight Loss Surgery). In addition, he holds the position of a Visiting Professor at the Asian Institute of TeleSurgery in Taiwan, and he is a trained Robotic Surgeon proficient in da Vinci robotic surgery.
