Dr. Pramod Kumar Julka

With a rich educational background and extensive experience in the field of oncology, Dr. Julka brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our organization. Dr. Julka obtained his MBBS from the University of Delhi in 1971, followed by an MD in Radiotherapy from the same institution in 1979. He further pursued a Fellowship in Medical Oncology from the National Academy of Medical Sciences in 1980. To enhance his skills, Dr. Julka underwent higher training at the M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas, under a World Health Organization fellowship. He also gained valuable experience at the Long Beach Memorial Cancer Centre in Long Beach, California. With a remarkable career spanning several prestigious positions, Dr. Julka has made significant contributions to the field of oncology. He has served as the Dean of Academics and Professor in the Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology at the renowned All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India. Additionally, Dr. Julka has held prominent leadership roles, including former President of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (Northern Chapter) and former Chairperson of the Indian College of Radiation Oncology from 2000 to 2009. Dr. Julka's exceptional work in the field of oncology has been recognized and honored with numerous awards and accolades. He is a recipient of the esteemed 'Padma Shri' Award, one of the highest civilian awards in the Republic of India, bestowed upon him in 2013. He has also received the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Best Orator of the Year Award in 2009 and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI) in 2013. Furthermore, Dr. Julka has been honored with the Dr. G.D. Pandey Oration on Breast Cancer in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, in 2006. Dr. Julka's areas of interest and expertise encompass a wide range of specialties in oncology, including bone marrow transplant, breast cancer, blood cancer, gastrointestinal oncology, gynecologic oncology, hematologic oncology, head and neck oncology, musculoskeletal oncology, medical oncology, neuro-oncology, pediatric oncology, thoracic oncology, skin cancer, and urology oncology.
