Dr. Kumar obtained his DNB in Radiation Oncology from the renowned Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre in Delhi. Prior to that, he completed his M.B.B.S. from King George Medical University in Lucknow. This strong educational foundation has equipped him with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide exceptional care to our patients. With a career spanning several prestigious institutions, Dr. Kumar has held various key positions in the field of radiation oncology. He served as the Additional Director of Radiation Oncology at Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi, and as a Senior Consultant at the Max Institute of Cancer Care in Gurgaon, Delhi. Prior to these roles, he held positions as a Consultant, Associate Consultant, Attending Consultant, and Senior Resident in Radiation Oncology at Max Institute of Cancer Care and Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre. Dr. Kumar's dedication to excellence in his field has been recognized through numerous awards and accolades. He has received prizes for his outstanding paper presentations on topics such as Brachytherapy on Soft Tissue Sarcomas, Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) for Liver, Lung, and Spine Tumors, and Respiratory Gating for left-sided Breast Cancer patients. Notably, he has been awarded the prestigious Indian Cancer Congress First Prize for his work on Breast Gating in left-sided breast cancer patients. Dr. Kumar's areas of interest and expertise include Image-Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), RapidArc Therapy, Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT) for Liver, Lung, and Spine Tumors, and Brachytherapy for Gynecologic Malignancies.
