He served as a Senior Consultant Cardiologist at the National Heart Institute from 1991 to 1996 before joining Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, where he continues to practice as a Senior Consultant Cardiologist. Throughout his career, Dr. Modi has been the recipient of several prestigious awards and medals. Notably, he was awarded the Chancellor medal for being the best student in the university in 1976. In addition, he received five gold medals and four silver medals during his MBBS career, highlighting his exceptional academic achievements. Dr. Modi's contributions to the field of cardiology were further recognized when he became the first to introduce invasive cardiology in the private sector in 1984. Dr. Modi's professional interests encompass a wide range of cardiological procedures and techniques. His areas of expertise include BP monitoring, device closure for congenital heart diseases, Dobutamine Stress Test, temporary pacemaker insertion, FFR (Fractional flow reserve), trans-esophageal ECHO, PAMI (Primary Angioplasty in Myocardial Infarction), color Doppler, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, Holter monitoring, and carotid artery disease. As an active member of various professional organizations, Dr. Modi remains committed to the advancement of cardiology. He is a life member and fellow of the Cardiology Society of India, the Association of Physicians of India, the Indian Society of Electrocardiology, and the Indian College of Cardiology. Additionally, he is a member of the Asian Pacific Society of Interventional Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography. Dr. Modi's contributions to the field extend beyond clinical practice, as he is also a founder member of the Endovascular Society of India.
