Pediatric and neuro-ophthalmology are two of Dr. Pradeep Sharma's areas of expertise as an ophthalmologist at the Center for Sight in New Delhi. With more than 40 years of experience, he is a highly regarded physician. In addition to presenting more than 200 scientific papers at conferences across the country and abroad, he has published more than 200 articles in national and international journals. 75 MD ophthalmology theses and one DM neurology dissertation have both been supervised by Dr. Pradeep Sharma. Dr. Pradeep Sharma earned both his MBBS and his MD in ophthalmology, graduating in 1979 and 1982, respectively, at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. Since 1995, he has been a member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (MAMS) in India. Since 2007, he has also been a fellow of the academy. The International Strabismological Association, All India Ophthalmological Society, Strabismological Society of India, National Society for Prevention of Blindness, India, and Delhi Ophthalmic Society are just a few of the organizations he actively participates in as a professional. He is a member of both the Strabismus and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology. Since 2012, Dr. Pradeep Sharma has served as vice president of the Ophthalmic Research Association, RPC, AIIMS, and chairman of the FAICO Section on Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus since 2011. Dr. Pradeep Sharma is also the first Asian invited by AAPOS, Vancouver, Canada, to deliver the Knapp Memorial Lecture. In addition, since 2008, he has worked as a section editor for the Indian Journal of Ophthalmology's strabismus and Neuro-ophthalmology sections.
