Dr. Shyam Sunder Mahansaria

Dr. Shyam Sunder Mahansaria is a highly experienced Senior Consultant in Liver Transplant and Gastrointestinal Surgery at Artemis Hospitals. He has a strong educational background, having completed his MBBS from Dr S N Medical College, Jodhpur in 2008. He further pursued MS General Surgery from Sardar Patel Medical College, Bikaner in 2011. To enhance his expertise in his field, he completed MCh HPB and Liver Transplant Surgery from the prestigious Institute Of Liver And Biliary Sciences in 2015. With an impressive 17 years of experience in the medical field, Dr. Mahansaria currently serves as the Senior Consultant Liver Transplant at Artemis Hospitals in Gurugram. Throughout his career, he has successfully conducted around 500 liver transplant surgeries, showcasing his expertise and skill in the field. Dr. Mahansaria has been recognized and honored for his exceptional contributions in the field of liver transplant and hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery. He was felicitated by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan for his remarkable work in the state. In addition, he received the first prize for Unmasking of myeloproliferative disorder in a patient with EHPVO following PSRS in IASGCON 2014 and was awarded the bursary award for the same conference. His areas of interest include GI & HPB Cancer Surgery, such as liver cancer, gallbladder cancer, bile duct cancer, periampullary cancer, pancreas cancer, stomach cancer, colon cancer, rectum cancer, and neuroendocrine tumors. He also specializes in non-cancer GI & HPB surgery, including giant hemangioma liver, shunt surgery for portal hypertension, surgery for bile duct injury, choledochal cyst, hydatid cyst, pouch surgery for ulcerative colitis, and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Mahansaria is an active member of professional organizations like the Liver Transplant Society of India (LTSI), International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (IHPBA), and Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology (IASG).
