Surgical oncologist Dr. Tapan Singh Chauhan specialises in gastrointestinal, hepatopancreaticobiliary, and peritoneal surface malignancies (HIPEC). He graduated with a Master of Science in General Surgery from the esteemed Pt. B.D. Sharma PGIMS Rohtak. He received his surgical oncology training from Dr. B. R. A. Irch, AIIMS, New Delhi, and Gujarat Cancer Research Institute, Ahmedabad, two of the nation’s top oncology institutions. He held various fellowship positions with Prof. Marcus Buechler at Heidelberg (HPB oncology) and Dr. T. Subramaneshwar Rao at the Indo-American Cancer Institute, Hyderabad, in order to further his interest in GI oncology and minimally invasive surgery (MIS). In Lyon, France, under the direction of Prof. Olivier Glehen, he received an ESSO Fellowship in Cytoreductive Surgery and HIPEC as well as a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS). He has over 14 years of experience till date and is already one of the top oncologists in Delhi.
