After completing his education at the esteemed Delhi Public School in R.K. Puram, Dr. Rahil Chaudhary earned his MBBS degree from the Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences in Dehradun and served an internship at the PGIMER Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, in New Delhi. At Swami Vivekananda Subharti Medical College in Meerut, he earned his postgraduate degree in ophthalmology. He is currently employed by Eye7 Eye Hospitals as the Managing Director (M.D.) Ophthalmologist. Cataracts and refractive surgery are his fields of interest. With numerous Guinness World Records and Indian Records to his credit, including performing 250 Contoura Vision Lasik surgeries in a single day (the highest number in the world), the most Contoura Lasik surgeries in India, the most ICL specs removal procedures in India, the most AI laser cataract surgeries in India, and the fastest Lasik laser surgery in India, Dr. Chaudhary is known for developing Contoura Vision laser specs removal surgery (1 min 21 sec). Additionally, he was the first surgeon in the world to perform LIVE blade-less, cut-less, flap-less laser eye surgery, which was witnessed by over 15,000 people from around the world. Dr. Chaudhary was a member of the international phakic IOL research team and is the first ophthalmologist in the world to perform 100 LASIK procedures in a single day. He has also been to the ICL Manufacturing Plant in Switzerland. For his efforts in raising awareness of ICLs in India, he was given the "ICL Regional Contribution" award (Milan, Italy) and the "Young ICL Ophthalmologist" award at the STAAR Global Experts Meet in Italy. He has also received honors from the All India Ophthalmic Society, including the "Pride of Indian Ophthalmology" award at 2020 All India Ophthalmic Conference. He was also awarded the "International Hero in Ophthalmology" award, which he got for four consecutive years, including 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.
