Dr. Dinesh Singhal

Dr. Dinesh Singhal is a highly accomplished surgeon, currently serving as the Principal Director and Head in the field of Surgical Gastroenterology. He has an impressive educational background and extensive experience in various surgical specialties. Dr. Singhal obtained his MBBS degree from JIWAJI University, Gwalior in 1989, followed by an MS degree in General Surgery from the same university in 1992. He further enhanced his skills by earning DNB certification in Surgical Gastroenterology from the National Board of Examination in 2004. Dr. Singhal also holds the prestigious American College of Surgeons (FACS) fellowship and completed a fellowship in Liver, Biliary, and Pancreatic Surgery at the Academic Medical Centre, University of Amsterdam. He underwent specialized training in Pancreatic Cancer Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, USA, and advanced training in Robotic Colorectal Surgery at Severance Hospital in Seoul, South Korea. With over 33 years of experience, Dr. Singhal currently holds the Senior Consultant in Surgical Gastroenterology position at the Pushpawati Singhania Research Institute for Liver, Kidney, and Digestive Diseases in Delhi. He is also a Consultant in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi. Dr. Singhal has received numerous awards and recognition throughout his career, including gold medals for Best Performance in MS (Surgery) and Best Paper at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. He has been honored with the Max Healthcare Sushruta Award for Clinical Excellence and the Max Healthcare Most Promising Innovation Award. The American College of Surgeons (ACS), the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, and the Association of Surgeons of India (ASI) all recognize Dr. Singhal as a lifetime member (SAGES). Additionally, in 2015, he served as the committee's Principal Investigator for the GOI, FICCI, and World Bank's clinical pathways for common surgical conditions. Dr. Singhal's areas of interest and expertise include Liver Surgery, Biliary Surgery, and Pancreatic Surgery. He has contributed significantly to the field of surgical gastroenterology with over 50 publications in international journals and presentations at prestigious national and international conferences.
