He also pioneered the use of endoscopic neurosurgery at NIMHANS in 1997 for various procedures such as hydrocephalus, endonasal surgeries for pituitary tumors, and the removal of intraventricular tumors like colloid cysts. Dr. Balasubramaniam being one the Best doctors in India, is highly skilled in using various stereotactic treatment techniques, including Gamma knife radiosurgery, Linac-based tumor treatment, and SEEG placements for epilepsy surgery. He is dedicated to building top-notch neurosurgical centers and training the next generation of neurosurgeons to achieve excellence in the field.
