Dr. Anil Kumar Anand is a distinguished Radiation Oncologist and a renowned expert in childhood cancer treatment. With over 35 years of extensive experience in radiation oncology, he is recognized internationally for his expertise. Dr. Anand holds the distinction of being empaneled by esteemed organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations (UN) as a recommended physician. Dr. Anil Kumar Anand's illustrious career spans more than three decades, during which he has made significant contributions to the field. He graduated from Dayanand Medical College in Ludhiana, where he completed his MBBS degree and an MD in Radiotherapy and Oncology from the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI) in Chandigarh. His pursuit of excellence led him to undertake specialized training in radiation therapy at the New York Hospital Medical Centre of Queens. Dr. Anand further honed his skills with specialized training in Radiotherapy for Head and Neck Cancers at The Middlesex Hospital Medical School in London. Dr. Anand served as the Principal Director of Radiation Oncology at Max Hospital, Saket, from 2009 before joining FMRI, Gurugram. His earlier affiliations include prominent healthcare institutions such as the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Batra Hospital and Medical Research Center in New Delhi, and PGI Chandigarh. Dr. Anand has a distinguished record of scientific publications, with his most recent work focusing on Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) in recurrent head and neck cancers. He is an active member of professional organizations, including the Indian Society of Oncology, the American Society of Radiation Oncology, and the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India. Additionally, he serves as an advisor to esteemed scientific bodies such as the International Commission on Radiation Oncology (ICRO), WHO, and other UN organizations. Dr. Anand also contributes his expertise as a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Cancer Research and Therapeutics. As a Senior Consultant and Coordinator in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre in New Delhi, Dr. Anand continues to make significant strides in cancer treatment.
