Dr. Munesh Tomar is a highly accomplished and renowned Pediatric Cardiologist, currently serving as the Director of Pediatric Cardiology. He has an impressive educational background and extensive experience in the field. Dr. Tomar completed his M.B.B.S from BRD Medical College Gorakhpur in December 1993. He further pursued his specialization in Pediatrics, obtaining an M.D. degree from King George's Medical College, Lucknow University in October 1998. To enhance his expertise in Pediatric Cardiology, he completed a prestigious FNB Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology from the National Board, India, at Escorts Heart Institute & Research Center (EHIRC) in Delhi, from June 2001 to June 2003. Additionally, he holds the title of Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). With his vast knowledge and skillset, Dr. Tomar has held several significant positions throughout his career. He currently is the Head of Department and Associate Director at Medanta-The Medicity in Gurgaon. He also holds the role of National NBE Coordinator for Pediatric Cardiology, contributing to the advancement of the field. Dr. Tomar has worked as a Pediatric Cardiologist at various esteemed institutions, including the Department of Pediatrics at LLRM Medical College in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and Nutema Hospital in Meerut. He has also served as the Director of Pediatric Cardiology at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeewani Child Heart and Research Center in Palwal, Haryana. He currently holds the Senior Consultant Pediatric Cardiologist position at Gurgaon's Medanta-The Medicity. Throughout his career, Dr. Tomar has been recognized for his outstanding contributions and received numerous accolades. He was honored with the prestigious "Thakur Ulfat Rai" Gold Medal for being the best MD candidate, awarded by the Honorable Prime Minister of India. He was also recognized as the Most Promising Doctor in Pediatric Cardiology in 2009 at Escorts Heart Institute & Research Centre. In 2020, he received an Appreciation Award for Best Teacher from UP IMA (Indian Medical Association). Dr. Tomar has a diverse range of interests within Pediatric Cardiology. He specializes in diagnostic procedures, including interpreting ECG, chest X-ray, and Echo in Congenital Heart Disease. He has performed a remarkable number of echocardiograms, approximately 75,000, for various congenital heart defects, including fetal echocardiograms. He is proficient in advanced techniques such as Two-Dimensional, Three-Dimensional, and Transesophageal Echocardiography. Additionally, he has expertise in performing epicardial echocardiography during cardiac surgeries and conducting diagnostic cardiac catheterizations for different congenital heart defects. Dr. Tomar has been actively involved in research and academic endeavors. He has published extensively in national and international journals, with a total of 115 publications to his credit. He has also contributed as a reviewer for various renowned national and international journals. Furthermore, he has been invited as a guest speaker at numerous national and international conferences, where he shares his expertise and insights with the medical community.
